Wakulla High Spring Talent Show & Band Showcase is Friday, March 12

It’s that time of year when talented students “Do Their Thing” at the annual “Spring Talent Show & Band Showcase”.  This year’s lineup promises to be one of the best yet.  Although the Spring Talent Show likes to showcase those students who play in a “band”, there are always some very talented singers and artists who WOW the audience between the bands. 

For those of you who are new to Wakulla High’s Talent Shows, you will be amazed by the beautiful  solo voices of:  Charmane’ Ackerman, Chelsea Austin, Jessica Cribbs, Sarah Gray, Malcolm Kelly, Katherine Martinez, Terra Tyre & Kayla Weismantel and a beautiful duet with Hillary Davis & Justin Contryman. 

We have: “twirlers of flags, rifles and other assorted objects”; Drum Solos by Marquis Lyons & Kareine Wilson; Solo Piano player extraordinaire, Ivery Guyton and a pair of amazing dancers, both named Michael,  who will be in a “dance off”. 

What about the bands?   Some groups from last year return “Hollow Memories, along with the re-named  “Zombies Run This Town”, & “What Marcellus Wallins Look Like”, and also groups without band names like “Barrington Hebert & Friends” ”.  A very popular group from last year will blow your mind “Hot 4 Jazz” with their unique sound, and many others too numerous to name. 

Make plans to attend this exciting show.  Master & Mistresses of Ceremonies will be the always delightful Malcolm Kelly & Carole Toler who will keep you entertained between acts and there is always a surprise guest or two to keep things interesting.  

The doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 12th, 2010 in the WHS Auditorium.

The cost for students is $4.00 and adults $6.00.  A variety of refreshments will be sold during intermission by our WHS Euro Trip Students.  Proceeds will help pay the rising cost for this year’s Spring Break Euro Trip.
