Museum and Archives Progress Update
{sidebar id=1}Tropical Storm Faye blew our museum banner on top of the building and we're going to have to have a long ladder to retrieve it.
Other news:
I have two more volunteers from the Green Guides. So tomorrow (Saturday) we begin painting the doors. We'll finish them up this weekend. If anyone wants to join me, please bring sand paper.
The small entrance foyer where the stairs are is painted and will get a second coat, and the tiles for the floor have come in.
We expect that by the middle of September to have the work completed.
But there's always more "work" before that:
Two strong folks need to move the display case ASAP from the front room into the are where we're storing museum items. The floor installer will have a hard time working around that heavy piece!
We'd like to borrow a shop vac to vacuum the carpets in the three storage areas before bringing things in.
The window shades in all rooms will be installed as well and hopefully the electrician will finally finish up installing two overhead fixtures and the track light in the store area.
