In Memory of our Father and Grandfather: Carlton C. Whaley
December 29, 1928 - June 24, 2007
Comments from Anna Wallace:
"I wanted to remember my dad in a special way and I searched the internet for a special verse. I kept coming back to this one because it says how daddy passed away. My father was at Eden Springs at the time of his death and he lived in Tallahassee. Any old timers of Wakulla County will recall my father and our family. In his teens he moved into the county jail with his parents (my grandparents) "Deputy Sheriff R. E. Whaley, mother Geraldine (Dean) Whaley, and brother Truman Whaley. He met my mother Lila Jo (Polly) Bailey at the "Ice Plant". Later came us four kids and our lives were also centered around the county jail."
God saw you getting tired, how weary you must be,
so He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away,
and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
You Are In Our Hearts Forever.
We love you Daddy,
Anna (Whaley) & Tommy Wallace
Stacie (Wallace) & Daniel Bullard
