Sue Calhoun Preacher, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Crawfordville, Florida.
She was born Madrena Sue Calhoun in Campbell County, Virginia on June 24, 1939 and had lived in Tallahassee, Florida since 1982. She was self-employed at Abacomp Accounting and Tax, with her daughter and business partner, since 1982. She retired from the State of Florida (Pharmacy Services) after 26 years. She had been an active member of Crawfordville United Methodist Church since 2009, and was a member of Eastern Star. She won awards for her paintings in Jacksonville, Florida, and wrote a column “Lloyd Notes” for the Monticello News under the name "Sue Gramling" in the 70’s.
The family requests no flowers or plants. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crawfordville United Methodist Church Outreach Ministries, 176 Ochlocknee Street, Crawfordville, FL 32327.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Crawfordville United Methodist Church, Crawfordville, Florida.\
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca M. Gramling of Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law: Lynette Calhoun, of Tallahassee, FL; nieces: Kimberly Bingham of Spokane, WA, Wendy Calhoun of Tallahassee, FL, and Teresa Herrin, of North Ft, Myers, FL; ten great nieces and six great nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents and her siblings.
