Volunteers Being Sought to Serve on Wakulla County Community Center Advisory Committee

County-logo-june-2010-2Are you interested in serving as a member on the Wakulla County Community Center Advisory Committee?

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking four (4) members to volunteer to serve on the Community Center Advisory Committee.  The purpose of this Committee is to advise the Board on the development of the Community Center.  These functions primarily include assisting in seeking grant funding, obtaining community input and involvement, and assisting the Board in developing a long term plan for the Community Center to ensure the Center’s stability and continuity.
 
The BOCC is seeking four (4) members who must be citizens of Wakulla County and shall include the following: 

One member, who must possess relevant professional experience in fund raising, grant writing, or resource development, to serve an initial term of one year;

One member, who must possess professional experience with a faith-based entity, to serve an initial term of three years;

One member, who must possess professional experience in the sports and recreation industry, to serve an initial term of three years; and

One member, who must possess professional experience in visual arts, drama/theater, dance, music, or health and wellness, to serve an initial term of four years.

Interested persons should submit a letter to identify which category the person qualifies for, state all relevant experience, and include the person’s name, address, and a contact telephone number no later than Monday, April 9, 2012.  Please e-mail your information to Katie Taff, Public Information Office, Administrative Coordinator at ktaff@mywakulla.com or you can fax your information to 926-0940.
