Gem Land Co. Ladies Go Fishing Off Shell Point
Written by Alan Lamarche Monday, 25 April 2011 08:59
Major Alan Lamarche of Plantation Security, Inc. had some very special fishing guests on Good Friday. Sue Lawrence, Sue's daughter Shannon, and Janie Davison all flew into town to spend Easter with family members at Ring Oak Plantation, owned by The Gem Land Co.
The Gem Land Co. ladies slipped off to Shell Point for a little off shore fishing.
Alan said, "I tried to wear them out catching grouper, but after getting their limit, they wanted something that would really fight so I took them to an AJ hole. I have never seen anyone who enjoyed catching oversized Amberjack more than these ladies. They kept catching and releasing AJ's until I got tired and took them home."
He added that "There is more gag and red grouper off shore than I have seen in a long time. It's hard to understand where NOAA gets their information about a shortage of fish."
